Another trip to Caseville coming up.....

Yep....my husband is off work til next Wednesday....and...he says he doesn't want to go up to Caseville for the Labor Day weekend....Why am I not surprised? So guess I'll go by myself and party with my friends. I think I'll leave the dogs home this time as long as he will be here to watch them, then I can get home whenever the hell I want to. There are 4 things that have to be done at "the house", and I told him I expect 2 of them to be done when I get back!...or else...I am so sick of his lazy ass doing nothing. The only reason he isn't in a big hurry to retire is cause he knows I will make him do things...haha...or he's outta here, or I'm outta here...well, one of us will be outta here. There is so much that needs to be done around here for like 4 years, and I'm getting really impatient. Kids are so much easier to raise than husbands.

Anyway, talked to my youngest son and he and his g'friend might come up to Caseville on Saturday and go party with me and my friends at the beer tent. Elkton has two big events coming up....Labor Day weekend is the Autumnfest with a beer tent, and two weeks later is the Harley festival with a beer tent....a major festival there. Bikers from all over come and line up all their Harleys and party big, major time. It's a total blast. I missed it last year cause I had a class reunion that weekend. Actually, it's also the weekend of my wedding anniversary, so told hubby he can either come with me or stay home with the dogs. Last year it was on a Saturday, so we went to the reunion together...which totally ruined my good-time, but it was our anniversary so I kinda had to invite him...didn't really think he would go. This year it's on a Sunday, so guess I could party Saturday night and drive home on Sunday...if I feel up to it.

Wedding anniversaries are kinda like birthdays...you eventually don't give a royal shit and would rather just forget about it. Besides, hus isn't a party guy...and I am, so I go where the party is.

Ok...that's all she wrote....ciao...

Burger King Rip-Off.......

I'm looking at my receipts from my trip and recording them and I think that the cashier at the Burger King we stopped at on the way home screwed the company....at least I didn't get screwed. Here's what I found and what happened. I bought burgers and chicken meals for the kids and the total came to $22.75. I distinctly remember paying with the EXACT amount. I had a 20 and my son was going to give me 3 ones, but I told him to just give me $2 cause I had the 75 cents. So I paid the exact change. Well, the bill says I paid with $50.00 and there was $27.25 change due! First of all, I didn't even have a 50 dollar bill. I think it was probably the cashier's last day...going back to school and all....and she ripped off the company for what she could get. I'm sure she pocketed the $27.25. Usually, people pay and there is change due...but they know that if someone pays the exact amount with no change due then they can put in what they want and pocket the so-called change due. Good scam. Now I don't know if I should try to contact Burger King and let them know what happened.....I'm sure there were other phony change-dues, and the company came up short. It just pisses me off when someone pulls a scam and uses me to do it!

Just a boring day.....

My two favorite shows were on tonight....Big Brother and Rock Star:INXS...I just love Tuesday nights! Rock Star is way better than American Idol....I hope Mig wins...he is totally awesome.

So what did I do today? Nothing much, that's for sure. After filling up my car last night with gas at these outrageous prices, I don't even want to drive my car anywhere. But I had to go to the pet store and buy some flea medication for my dogs. I got rid of them before I went to Caseville and the whole time we were up there they were fine...no scratching...no fleas...then I got back and now they have fleas again. Damn hot and humid weather we are having this summer. So I gave them both a bath and I put medication and flea powder on Mini Sue, but Lucky just hid under the couch all night after I bathed him. So tomorrow I'll get him and put the meds on him. Dumb dog.....

I looked at my husband's vacation schedule since he never tells me anything in advance. It looks like he is taking this Thursday, Friday...Monday, of course, and also Tuesday and Wednesday of next week after Labor Day. So I figure he must be planning on going up to Caseville with me. Maybe...maybe not....if he doesn't, then he better get his ass over to the house and finish up the few things that he needs to do. This damn house is at a total standstill....no calls at all now. Hell, nobody can afford the gas to even drive over there....how can they afford to buy it?? The realtor that supposedly had a client who wanted to look at it never called back once I told them to actually bring the client with them....there's no client...they just use that as a ruse to get over there and give me a sales pitch....f'ing realtor agents....Christ, they must think I'm an airhead if I believe their shit...."yeah buddy....you can stop over...but bring the "client" with ya!"....Tomorrow I have to pay the taxes on the house...another f'ing bill to pay.

I am so depressed about this house...I just hate it....I want it out of my life!

Cleveland Rocks!

I had a great time in Cleveland over the weekend. Today I was totally worn out and slept a lot...haha. We got our rooms which were right across the hall from each other which worked out perfect. We stayed at the Comfort Inn near the NASA Glenn Reseach Center and only about 12 miles from downtown. Then off we went to downtown Cleveland. We passed Jacob's Field on our way to the U.S.S. Cod submarine that I wanted my son to check out. I had already did the tour of the sub when I was there about 9 years ago with hubby, so I watched little Jayden while my son, his g'friend and Hunter went down in the sub and toured it. It started raining like crazy by the time they were done, though. We wanted to walk down to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, but it was raining too hard. So we went to this restaurant that is on this boat next to the sub and ate....then the rain stopped. We walked down to the Hall of Fame and toured that....and bought lots of souvenirs for everyone. I got myself a neat Tee and a shot glass. I was bummed cause a lot of the displays that were there 9 years ago they don't have now. I guess a lot of stuff gets changed periodically. Then we drove back to the Inn and made a beer run and partied in my room.

Sunday we all went down to the Continental Breakfast, checked out and then we went to K-Mart and bought Hunter some school clothes and Jayden some new shoes, took the kids for ice cream and to a park to kill some time, and then we went to the NASA Glenn Research Space Center which opened at 1:00....damn, it was worse then getting across the border! I knew we had to show ID, but they also had us pull over and wait for some guy to check our car. We had to open the doors and the back hatch of my jeep and he went through some things. I know we were all a bit hung over looking, but I didn't think we looked like terrorists or anything. I mean, we had 2 kids with us. They told us we could not take any pictures outside the building, but once we got in we could take pictures....which makes no sense to me at all....I mean, what the hell is outside the building??? I'm sure there were cameras everywhere watching our every move. But we did take lots of pictures inside. It is very interesting if you're into space stuff...which we all are. They have the original Apollo Command Module which splashed down in 1973 there. There is tons of stuff to look at, so we were there til after 3:00 and then we hit the road for back home. It was super fun...and the kids were so good.

So what's with the gas prices now?? My son called me and told me I better fill up cause the prices are going up AGAIN....so I went and had to sit in a long line for 20 minutes, but I filled up at $2.55/gal....most stations are now already at $2.79. I think I'm going to be walking to the store tomorrow...haha

Saturday, August 27, 2005

I've been up since 7:00! My son will be here around 9:30 so we can start on our little weekend trip. He's bringing Pepper, his dog, so my hus will be dogsitting...haha.

Yesterday I met my g'friend at the house so we could talk better...just the two of us...since the funeral. We talked and cried. She will probably continue babysitting her grandson when her daughter-in-law goes back to work. The D-I-L works afternoons, so it's not possible to put little Jr. in a daycare. I don't know how my g'friend will do it....watch Jr til after midnight, then drive home and get up to go to work herself in the morning.

Ok...this is short...I need to get myself ready and finish packing. I hope the weather stays decent. Ciao.....

A little math quiz......

I know I suck at math and I wasn't too surprised when my answer to the following math quiz was wrong; but then I had my genius husband do it and he failed it too!...guess most everyone does.

Do this in your head.....no paper, no pencil, no calculator...

Start with 1000
Add 40
Add 1000
Add 30
Add 1000
Add 20
Add 1000
Add 10

What answer to you get? If you came up with 5000, you are WRONG!!! I did it over and over and still got it wrong...I am so bad at math, that when I did it on paper, I still got it wrong...haha....then I used the calculator and it came up right.

My g'friend's son's name was John, but when he was little she always called him John-John, like John-John Kennedy. So when I had "my John", we also nicknamed him John-John cause I thought it was cute. Anyway, John died at the age of 38....as did "John-John" Kennedy....John's little boy is 3 years old...."John-John" Kennedy was 3 when his father, Pres Kennedy died.....weird!

The Highs and Lows of Life......

I had a fun time in Caseville for 12 days and then came home to bad news and a funeral....whew....talk about being on a high and then a total crash back to reality.

The first weekend I was in Caseville, my youngest son and his g'friend came up and we had fun. We ate cheeseburgers and fries and partied at the bar at night. My son wasn't too keen about us going into the bar and dancing....he and her were fighting about it, but we (she and I) prevailed and we all went anyway. I basically told him to "F-Off...cause we're going with or without him". God, I'm such a bad influence...haha. He said we were both being disrespectful of him and his feelings....well, too bad..."Girls just wanna have fun!"

Then my husband came up on Tuesday and we had a really good time while he was there. We watched the parade on Wednesday, ate tons of cheeseburgers, went to the beer tent, walked down to the harbor and saw all the boats lit up and decorated for the festival, went to the outdoor concerts in the park. He left on Sunday before the car show started, so I went to the car show with my g'friend and we hung out most of the evening. She and her b'friend were fighting as usual, and I told her I did NOT want to get in the middle of it...but of course, they drag me in anyway. By Monday, she was over to my place and we talked...then she left, and he came over to talk, then he left, then she called me, then he called to see if she called me....it was getting too funny.

My cell phone doesn't work in Caseville. So when I left on Tuesday, I checked my messages once I got back into my area and that is when I got the message from my g'friend's daughter telling me that John had passed away on Sunday. I was beside myself. I was shaking and screaming obscenities so bad, I think I was scaring my dogs...so I had to pull off the road and get out of my car and smoked a cigarette to calm down. This was about 4:00. I got home by 5:00 and told my husband. He checked the newspaper and we found the obit and saw that the visitation was that night and the funeral on Wednesday. I called the funeral home and talked to my g'friend and told her I was back in town and had just gotten the message and I would be there for her. Apparently, she did call the house, but she was talking so quiet that my husband couldn't understand the message and deleted it, not knowing who it was. I'm glad her daughter left the message on my cell phone at least. I didn't even unpack my car...we just got ready and got to the funeral home by 7:00. She was a basket case to say the least. She really needed me to be there, and I am so glad I was home for her. Then Wednesday was the funeral. I finally unpacked my car last night.

Remember earlier in another post I had said how I lost one of my precious diamond earrings that my husband bought me while I was in Caseville a month ago? Well, my g'friend in Caseville called me last night to tell me she FOUND IT!! It was on her floor near the couch....I couldn't believe it....I am now Happy, happy, happy!

I went to the house today and started packing up whatever is left to give to charity and threw out some stuff. A realtor was suppose to meet me there, but he missed me by a minute. I told him I would only be there until 3:00....I wanted to get home and grill some kebobs and corn on the grill and I needed to get the corn soaking. So at exactly 3:00 I left, as I was driving down the street I saw him driving towards the house....well, too bad...I said before 3:00!...not one minute after. So he called me later and told me he was sorry he missed me...he saw me backing out of the driveway...haha....He was only coming to preview the house for a client, or so he says. I told him he or his partner can bring the client to see the house next week. Personally, I doubt if there is an interested client...these realtors will say anything to get your attention so they can give you a sales pitch and get your listing. His partner has the client and she will be out of town til Sunday, so he said she will call me when she gets back. I'm not making two trips over there...one for them to preview it and one with the client...they can come with the client first.

Well, I'm leaving for a one-night trip this weekend to Cleveland, OH. I'm taking my oldest son, his g'friend and the two kids to Cleveland to see the NASA Glenn Research Center. We'll leave Saturday morning and get back Sunday. Should be fun......and life goes on......

Caseville, Here I Come.......

Today I went and finally visited my cousin, Bob. It has been a long time since we've gotten together, and I felt bad. I have just been so damn busy with this house and the sale. So I went over to his house and explained why he hasn't heard from me in so long. Actually, he was my father's cousin. I met him through a genealogy research. We thought he might be dead at one point, and I was out at cemeteries checking to see if he was there...haha...So one day I drove to his last known address and this guy was in the driveway and I asked him if he was Bob Williamson and he said YES!...OMG, he's alive!!! So I explained who I was and how I was Jack's daughter and he was so excited to meet me. Anyway, he had tons of family photos and obits and papers on our family. We learned so much from what he had. Many, many doors were opened for us from his info. AND, it turned out that he lives in my city like a mile away from me! He had been there all the time. And he's a really cool guy and I just love visiting with him and sharing memories and hearing his stories about my dad and our family.

So I finally went over to visit him today. His new car he bought was at the dealership having some minor glitches fixed and it turned out the dealership was down the street from my mom's house, and I had to go there anyway today to put the garbage out; so I drove him over to my mom's house and showed it to him and everything I've done and then drove him to the dealership to get his car. He has a nice car!...even has a sunroof....I WANT A SUNROOF!!

We passed a few bars on the way, and he knew them....as I know them...haha...one bar changed it's name and he even remembered what it use to be called...and what the bands were and are like. I was there a couple months ago and knew the new place sucks, and he knew that...then we passed another bar and he pointed it out...and I told him how I use to go there, too...and it's a real dive...he agreed...cause it is....but it has a shuffleboard and bikers hang out there....my favorite kind of guys! I haven't been there in a few years cause the g'friend I use to hang out with at the bars...well, her and I don't talk anymore...she was too much trouble. My hus is kinda glad I don't talk to her anymore...haha...My g'friend, Edie, and I like to hang out at Ron's place, which her cousin owns, and Bob knew that place, too when we passed it! Wow...he must be a party guy like me...well, same genes, I guess.

So after I dropped him off, I went back to the house and pitched out a bunch of crap. I'll deal with the rest of it when I get back. Tomorrow, I'm heading out to CASEVILLE! Cheeseburger festival here I come! My son and his g'friend are going to meet me there and stay for the weekend. Then my hus said he will drive up by Tuesday for the week. Saturday, they will have the "best costumed pet" at the vet in town, so I'm taking my little Mini Sue in her Hula girl/Tahitian girl costume....(posted pics of her on my photo site, www.cherokeerose2.blogspot.com), and Lucky has a Pirate costume he is going to wear. I figure that between me, my son and his g'friend we should be able to get it on him....haha...he doesn't like to wear it...like that "Seinfeld" episode...he says "But, I don't wanna be a Pirate!"...LOL

Well, he's wearing it...and they better win!

So, I'll blog when I get back (should be around the 23rd)....everyone have fun while I'm gone..have a margarita, play some Jimmy Buffet tunes and think of me....www.cheeseburgerincaseville.com.

It was a Stampede!

OMG....I got to the house a little before 1:00 for my Free Sale and there were cars and trucks lined up and down the street and a lot of people standing outside the house waiting for me. You wouldn't believe it. I had posted a partial list of the things I had left to give away, so most of them knew exactly what they wanted. I opened the door and it was total chaos. It was like that commerical they show on TV when they are having the after Thanksgiving sales, and the salesman is afraid to open the door...haha....Everyone came in and just started going for the stuff...room to room. Two guys came in and immediately went for the Organ. Unfortunately, my mother's organ didn't sell at the Estate Sale, so I had to get rid of it. I'm NOT dealing with this crap anymore. And I didn't want to just pitch it out in the trash either. So they took it. But all these people and kids were all over the place, grabbing whatever they could grab...people carrying boxes and bags of stuff to their cars. I swear, it was pretty much gone by 1:30. Some more people came later and took some more things. I don't have very much left, so that's great....less to pack up and give to Salvation Army or pitch out. It was kinda fun to watch. One woman was saying how much fun this was...just to go in a house and take what you want. One lady took my mom's good dishes...I did save the sugar and creamer from it. And I did sell the teacups and saucers that went with it. This young girl who bought just the teacups and saucers said that her g'friend was getting married and she wanted to have a "teaparty" theme....that was cool. I had a set of Corell dishes that someone took.

I had also listed a "golf cart"...but I meant the kind you push...I guess they are really called a "golf caddy", but what the hell do I know. So this one guy shows up hauling some trailer behind his truck cause he thought it was a real rider golf cart...LOL...he was disappointed, but oh well. Someone took the caddy and my old golf clubs and my son's clubs, too. I mean, shit was flying out the door.

Two of my mom's neighbors came over to see what was going on. They thought I was really making a lot of money cause they saw all these people carrying all this stuff out so quickly. I told them that it was a Free Sale. They took a few things. But by that time, it was pretty much gone. There are still some things, but not much. Nobody took my mom's window curtains, and I had some cute Xmas things nobody took...and vases and planters and my son's hubcaps....and I still have tons of books left.

So that's a good way to get rid of all your garage sale stuff...just give it away. Otherwise, I would just have to pack it up and give it to Salvation Army anyway...same thing.

My poor little Mini Sue has these hotspots on her skin from her scratching and she is just miserable. I gave her a bath tonight with this anti-itch cortozone stuff and it helped a little. I think I'm going to try and make an appointment at the vet tomorrow. So another busy day tomorrow....

Free, Free, Free.....

Tomorrow is my Free Sale day. I went over to the house and organized everything that is left over. I put anything that was in the garage down in the basement, and put everything else in a couple of rooms, plus the kitchen. There is still quite a bit of stuff left, believe or not. I belong to these Freecycle groups, so I posted a message on a few of them letting everyone know that they can come to the house between 1-4 tomorrow and take what they want. So I'm expecting a ton of people to come and get this crap out of the house. I pulled the stuff I'm keeping and don't want to just give away.

No calls on the house....

I bought myself a new 13" TV for my bedroom. I sold the other one I had. It was crap and didn't work that great. And now I can hook up a VCR to it...the other one didn't have a place to hook up anything...it was too old. I also bought a Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner! My hus put it together and I vacuumed the family room and you wouldn't believe all the dog hair it picked up. It's a bagless type, so you can see all the crap it picked up. I showed my hus....maybe he's now convinced that the Dirt Devils are really good.

My poor dogs are scratching themselves to death...they still have fleas. So I went and bought more flea medication for them and put it on them. I am leaving Friday for Caseville, and I want those fleas gone before I take them.

My youngest son and his girlfriend are going to also be in Caseville next weekend, so that should be fun! Then my hus will drive up on Monday for the week. I can't wait. I need the break. Then if I still don't get any calls on this damn house, my brother and I will have to decide what to do.....get a realtor, or wait it out some more. Someone said that it is taking an average of 90 days to sell a house around here. Yipes! The taxes are due the end of the month, so it looks like I'll have to pay them.

Well, another day at the house tomorrow....I hope these people take EVERYTHING!

Another Successful Day....

Finally...IT'S OVER!...I had the LAST day of my estate sale today. I had everything half-off and still made almost $400! It was very busy...people were coming like crazy and buying whatever. My g'friend stopped by again and my youngest son came over. I'm glad he was there cause some things people needed help with getting to their car, so he helped them. Now, I'll go over there again tomorrow and go over things...pull out some things I'll keep and try to organize everything left over in a few rooms...then Tuesday, I'm having my FREE Sale. I belong to this freecycle group and I'll post a message letting everyone know that what is left they can come take away. I expect to get rid of most of it that way.

There were some people that asked about the house and wanted flyers on it, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone calls later about it. At least they got to see it through my sale.

Well, I'm tired....every bone in my body aches...I am drained. It's been a long weekend. So I'm going to bed...another day at the house tomorrow. Nite

Another Successful Day!

WOW...I did good today considering it was the second day of my Estate Sale. I made over $450!! just today....hell, shit is flying out the door....I made almost $1000 in 2 days!. Tomorrow is half-price or better day...so I hope to basically get rid of this crap. I still have lots to sell. Jeeezzus, what the hell did I sell??? You would not believe what people will buy.

My highlight of the day is this: This woman comes into the house and tells me that her parents were the original owners of the house...and this house is where she basically grew up in!! Her sister died 2 months ago...and she just happened to pick this weekend to drive to the neighbors next door to let them know and she saw the Estate Sale sign on the house....so she HAD to come in. Her parents bought the house back in 1956/1957 for $12,000!!!! She told me which bedroom was hers. She asked me if Gladys still lives across the street....she does...she is like over 90 years old now. She told me that Gladys's son died in a motorcycle accident years ago and how she remembers him singing Elvis songs on "my mom's" front porch. It was like totally weird! She hasn't been in her "childhood" home since she was 16. I am so glad she came when she did and got to go through the house once more.

It is very hard for me to sell my mom's things.....this woman bought her coffee pot...another woman bought her salt n pepper shakers...things I remember using when I would go see her...just little things I remember....a nice couple bought her patio set. It's slowly going away. I'm sure the customers were so appreciative of my little stories and my tears as they took them away....haha..I'm sure they are like "who the hell cares...we got a good deal!"

I pulled a few things...like her iron..hell I had it for $10...a woman asked me if I would go lower...I said $8.00...she said she bought one at a garage sale for $1.00....and I said "Yeah...you can get an iron at Walmart or K-mart for $10 and it's basically a piece of shit...all plastic...this iron is heavy duty metal with a fabric corded cord...and it's heavy as hell and it still works!"
....way better than that crap they sell today. Well, she didn't buy it...I am keeping it.

My g'friend stopped over...she is going through so much...and yet she stopped over and brought me donuts! Her son came home from the hospital yesterday and things are pretty much at a stand still now....not good. We talked and when she left, we hugged and cried....I cannot even fathom what she is going through. I cannot even fathom losing one of my children!.....Where the hell is this so-called God???? I think he's napping....."WAKE UP!!! We ahhhhhh kinda need you down here"....hahah..yeah. like whenever.....it's like I'm trying to let go of my mom through her things....and my g'friend is trying to let go of her son. HEY GOD...you gave me a hand with five fingers..well, I'm saluting you with the middle one!

Okay....gotta get to bed..another day...more money...gotta make some money...HEY, isn't that what it's all about??....Life sucks...

Successful First Sale Day!

I made it through the first day! I put up my signs and got to the house and there was a line of people waiting....there were tons of people coming all day....I sold over $500 worth of crap!!....and I still have a lot of stuff to sell. This one lady came late in the day after being there early in the day and she saw all the stuff and asked me if I sold anything...yeah!...like $500 worth. What the hell did I sell????....Told ya...I had tons of crap to sell. My house is barren...heehee...yeah, I wish...but I did get rid of a lot of stuff. I made a list of everything that was my mom's...and trying to keep track as I go along, but it's hard...but at least I have my list...so when this sale is done I can go through everything and see what I sold that was hers. The major things like the FURNITURE is not sold....just the small stuff. I did sell her standing lamp with a table around it that always sat at the side of her couch that I always put my cigs and beer on sold for $3.00...didn't work that good, light kept flashing on and off all the time and the shade I thru out cause it was trash. I sold a few of her books. And some of her shovels, trash cans...patio chairs..and I sold this horse picture that was pretty well trashed cause of the flood I had in the basement for $1.00..that surprised me. Sold some stuff in the garage of hers.

Anyway, I did good today. I could have made more money if someone hadn't STOLEN my main sign at the end of the f'ing street!!! This one lady said she had a hard time finding the sale, and I couldn't figure out why, cause I had this huge sign at the end of the street....well, hus shows up after the sale and said it was GONE! I can't believe some people...or maybe it was the f'ing cops!....OH, cause I am only allowed 2 street signs and I put up 3!!...so probably some stupid f'ing cop took one down. Well, tomorrow I'm putting 3 f'ing signs up again. Thank God, hus made an extra sign.

Apparently VHS movie videos are not in much demand anymore. I have a ton of them and my son brought over 42 of them...and I only sold 5 of mine....2 were exercise videos. I was only selling them for $2.00. Tomorrow they will be 3/$5.00 or whatever you want to pay.

I only had one thing stolen....you can expect that...I'm glad it was only one thing. I had this beautiful necklace and earring set with crystals and amythyst stones...paid a fortune for it and had it for $10..and it's gone! Some guy tried to screw me on this Inida necklace and earring set I had for $10....it was in a bag with a $1.00 on it...I knew it had the wrong price tag....bags were switched apparently. I told him it was wrong and I found the right bag and then he didn't want it....haha

This one lady wanted me to give her a deal on my grandmother's cups and saucers and said she was buying a ton of my mom's records...so I gave her a deal....and then later she said she didn't want the records...so I upped the price on the cups and saucers, but she still got a deal. People will try anything to get a better deal!!

Then this guy brought me over this brand new Harley Davidson shirt with tags that I had a tag PINNED on the shirt for $10.00...but there was NO tag on it...now how could it have fallen off...it was f'ing PINNED on!...thought he would get a better deal, I guess...told him it was $10...he didn't buy it. Hell, who cares...I'll wear it to the Harley festival next month. Actually, I have one to wear and thought my hus could wear that one but he said he won't so I'm selling it. It still has the original price tag on it...like $25 or something. But it was obviouse that the guy took the price tag off it. A lot of my stuff has those sticky prices on and those things are crap..they fall off, but this one was pinned on. Holy shit....I'm blonde...I ain't stupid!!

Best part is I sold my vacuum cleaner!!! I bought this so-called great vacuum cleaner for $170 from Sears about 3 years ago...it's basically a piece of shit...my hus even agrees that it's totally worthless. So I told him I want to sell it and buy a Dirt Devil...I lent our worthless piece of shit vacuum cleaner to my son once and he used it...then I bought him a Dirt Devil ($60) and he vacuum a small part of his living room AFTER he had used our piece of shit vacuum and you would not believe what it took up. So I want one. So I told hus I am selling ours and buying a Dirt Devil and he said no way we are buying a $60 Dirt Devil....well, I took our piece of shit vacuum over to the house and sold it for $30....so geeeee, guess we'll have to buy a Dirt Devil ,cause otherwise, WE HAVE NO F'ING VACUUM CLEANER!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Okay,,,,tomorrow is another day...this crap better fly out the door...and I still got Sunday. I just want to lay on my patio with a beer...

D-Day tomorrow.....

Tomorrow my Estate Sale starts. I was at the house all day until after 7:00 getting things finalized. Everything is done....well, I have a few more things I decided to take over tomorrow and price. My hus made up these really great signs for me. The ad came out today. So I expect a good turn-out. I am so stressed out over this! I took a pill so I can sleep tonight. I want a good turn-out, but I also don't want 200 people waiting for me to open up either! I stocked up on some snacks so I got something to eat. Usually when I have a sale, it is at my own house and I can also get things done and have something to eat. But at this house, I won't be doing much. I hope my g'friend shows up to help. I'm taking my little TV so I can at least watch TV; otherwise, it will get boring after the first phase of people show up and leave. It will be a long day....a long weekend, so I'm getting to bed. Wish me luck!

Today was a busy day. I went to the bank and went to Rite Aid and bought some of my favorite shampoo...Loreal Vive...I've been out of shampoo and have been using whatever my hus has...yuck! I got another call about the house, but it was a real estate agent trying to convince me to list with him. I told him I'll see how things go with the Estate Sale first. Also the partner of the woman that called me over the weekend...they are real estate investors looking to buy houses to lease out. He left a message, but I haven't called him back. I know these investors want to buy houses cheapo....they don't want to pay much...but I'll give him a call and see what he says. Then I went to the house and did more pricing. I have my jeep filled up with more crap to take over tomorrow. Boy, you would think that my house would be looking bare by now!

So tonight is my fave TV night....Big Brother6 and Rock Star INXS...Just before they started, my youngest son and his g'friend came over. So we all watched the shows. I haven't seen his g'friend in quite awhile, so I'm glad she came over. She wanted me to stop over to the house tomorrow, but I told her I am way too busy with this Estate Sale and I can't do much of nothing til it's done and over with.

Once this sale is done, I'm off to Caseville for the big "Cheeseburger in Caseville" week. This festival is HUGE to say the least. They started with it being only on a weekend, but it got so big with so many people that they extended it for a whole week thru a second weekend. Most people think..."what the hell is Cheeseburger in Caseville??" Well, it's basically a takeoff of Jimmy Buffet's song "Cheeseburger in Paradise". Everyone dresses up in a tropical theme...lots of grass skirts, leis, funny hats...lots of Parrot hats...the whole town gets crazy....a real Margaritaville! Dozens of vendors all along the Main street and all the restaurants selling cheeseburgers, hot dogs and brats. Lots of vendors set up selling stuff. They sell these crazy cheeseburger hats...and I have one. They have a really big parade in town on Wednesday with crazy floats. I even dress up my little Mini Sue. I'll have to post a picture of her in her hula girl costume wearing a little parrot hat. I took her to the parade last year and everyone thought she was adorable. I have these different crazy outfits I wear...I even have a big pink feather boa. They have bands playing in the park every night...and the really cool thing is that people actually drink in the streets and nobody cares. People walk out of the bars with drinks...nobody cares...I walk down the street during the day with a beer in my hand...nobody cares. I heard they may crack down somewhat about that this year..so we'll see. The boats in the harbor are all decked out with lights and parrots and flamingos.

Last year, my son came up for the first time during Cheeseburger weekend and he was dressed in regular clothes and I told him to at least put a Lei around his neck or something before he goes into town...otherwise, he will feel out of place. He thought I was nuts...but when he came back, he had a bunch of leis around his neck...haha. Nobody dresses in regular clothes during that week. It's nuts! They have a website at www.cheeseburgerincaseville.com I think that's what it is. Check it out.

I'm Stressing out.......

I am totally stressed out about this upcoming Estate Sale I'm having over the weekend. It's been quite a few years since I've had a garage sale, and I swore I was never doing it again....so what the hell did I get myself into?? I was at the house today til after 6:00 pricing things. Then I ran out of price sticker things and had to leave. I stopped at CVS and bought some more. I still need to make the signs. There are these things that are in the garage that I thought would be perfect to makes signs with, but hubby doesn't want to use them. He said he'll make me some...well, he better do it before Friday. I called the paper and put the ad in for Thursday, so I'm committed now...like it or not.

Someone called on the house from the ad today. I called her back. She apparently works with one of those "We Buy Houses" places...more of an real estate investment company. She wanted to know what our bottom line price would be. Anyway, I told her about the Estate Sale over the weekend, and told her she could come by then to see the house. I asked her if she was looking to buy something to rent out. She said maybe. I don't know...maybe she was really a real estate agent. I really do NOT want to sell to someone who is just going to use it as a rental.

I'm still exhausted from the weekend, so I'm going to bed early. Got lots to do at the house tomorrow. Nite....
