THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS...
SIX MORE DAYS TO GO! Then Sunday my youngest son takes the plunge. Yes, there will be another wedding in our family...and that will be the last one!
So I gave up trying to comfortably fit into the dress I originally wanted to wear. I bought it in a little bridal shop in Bad Axe....a size 10, but for some reason it fits snug around the rib cage. I can get it zipped, but it feels too tight when I sit down. There's a jacket so it isn't real noticeable, but I don't feel very comfortable. So I've been working my bloody ass off the last few months or so...and basically getting nowhere. I lose weight, then go to Caseville and gain it all back. FRUSTRATING AS HELL!! I have a Plan B...you know, another dress I could wear. A size 10, as well, but it fits better. The one I want to wear is a light lavender color....Plan B is a real pale light grey...almost a white with a tinge of grey. Both are pretty.
So I'm talking with my son's fiance a few weeks ago and she shows me a picture on her phone of the bridesmaid's dresses....and....they are the EXACT SAME COLOR AS MY DRESS! Not close or almost the same....the EXACT same shade. She calls it Wisteria. I call it a light lavender. I knew her color scheme is basically pink and purple, but I thought it was a different shade of purple...darker. So I thought my light lavender dress would compliment.
I cannot wear the same color dress. It would look like I was trying to upstage her bridesmaid's dresses or something. And I don't want to look like I'm one of the bridesmaids. Not a good idea!
Oh well...just as well...I'll wear Plan B. But in trying to lose a few pounds in order for Lavender dress to fit better, now the Plan B dress is a little big...grrrrrrrr! But it has a jacket so it doesn't look too big. At least I can sit in it comfortably.
But I'll only be wearing it for the wedding and pictures and the first part of the reception. But once that music starts, I'm changing into my PARTY DRESS!! I'm not wearing a long dress with a long-sleeve jacket all evening. So I bought an adorable sleeveless black dress to wear for dancing.
So I have my dresses situation settled. I have all my accessories...shoes, earrings, bracelets, etc. I think I got it all covered.
I'll just be glad when it's over with....
