Carnivals and Mazes....

I picked up Hunter Friday for the weekend. We decided to go to the carnival Friday night at least for a little while in case Saturday was a bad day weather-wise as they were predicting. I bought tickets and he rode some of the rides. It was a great prelude to the next day. Saturday turned out to be a fairly decent day so we bought wrist bands and rode rides all day. We got there around 1:30 and didn't leave until 8:30.....7 hours of FUN! I rode all the rides except for three....I almost did this upside-down ride, but chickened out at the last minute and got out of line. I hate the ferris wheel because of my fear of heights....but I stupidly got on this other ride that is similar to the ferris wheel, exept that it goes faster backwards and forwards....what the hell was I thinking about?? So after we got on the ride, it proceeds to go up a couple levels where it stopped so someone could get in another car, and I'm looking down, up and around me and total PANIC set in....I told Hunter that I cannot do this ride and he thought I was kidding. I wasn't....so I'm screaming at the guy to get me off before it starts. He wouldn't even look at me, so I kept yelling at him and this woman down below motioned to me that she will tell him. Anyway, he got the message and brought the car back down and I got the hell off.....whew.....my hands were shaking. I can do rides that go up, but fast.....up and back down....don't leave me hovering up there.

Then Sunday we went to Northville to the Maybury Farm and did the corn maze. That was alot of fun. We took a hayride to the corn field....then started through the mazes of rows looking for different posts where you stamp a different stamp on this sheet of paper....12 stamps and you found them all. After an hour of roaming through the mazes, we found only 9 and gave up, so we took the wagon back to the barn.

Then we got subs and headed back home....packed up all his things and headed back to his house. It was a fun weekend.

So today I am heading back up to Caseville for that Eagles initiation tomorrow. I don't know how long I'll be staying....just whenever. I need to get to the grocery store and pick up some things for Jerry. I don't know what he eats when I'm gone....but he's always here when I get back, so he must be eating something...haha

Ciao...........

Ok...so I drove back from Caseville Tuesday cause I had a dentist appointment yesterday and I FORGOT MY MAKE-UP KIT! I absolutely couldn't believe I did that....especially since I did it once before a few years ago and swore I would never do that again. It's like I left my face in Caseville...haha So I scrounged up some things from my purse and in the bathroom, but I still needed to go to the store and replace a few things. I guess I'll get by til Monday.

I'm driving back up on Monday because I have an Eagle's initiation date on Tuesday there. A friend of mine is a member of the Eagles and I applied for membership last June. It would have been nice if I could have been a member through the summer while my husband was here on vacations.....they are a bit slow in getting things done.

So last weekend was the "Born to be Wild Days", or as I call it, the Harley festival in Elkton. There were hundreds of bikers there. My girlfriend and I went to the beer tent Friday and Saturday and danced our butts off....they had good bands. We shopped the booths during the day and bought some things. This one booth was selling vest extenders...and she had them hooked together for display and we both thought they were belts and were trying them on until she explained to us that they weren't belts...it was too funny! Some guy asked me if I knew what they were, and I said Yes, they're belts...he must have thought I was a stupid blond...haha

We also hit a ton of garage sales in the area and I bought more crap I don't need.

We also drove to Bay City and shopped. We left at 10:00 in the morning and got back around 6:00....I hate leaving my dogs that long, but oh well.....

There is a carnival near me, so I am going to pick up my "grandson"....actually my son's girlfriend's little boy who is 8....and bring him to my house for the weekend and take him to the carnival. He told me once that he's never been to a carnival and I told him I would take him to one if there's one in town. Then I'll take him home on Sunday....hit the road on Monday.....and maybe NEVER, NEVER, NEVER COME BACK!!!

To Val: YES, I watched Rock Star:Supernova this season. I admit I really liked Lukas right from the beginning...he, Toby, Delana and Storm were my favorites. But I started to favor Toby, cause I thought Lukas was too punk-rock for the band and he was getting a little too weird for my taste. Actually I thought Delana would be perfect for the band, but I doubted that they would want a girl (besides Tommy Lee wouldn't want anyone prettier than him!)....so as far as the guys go, my choice was Toby at the end. My g'friend in Caseville thought so too...so we watched the finale together and couldn't believe they picked Lukas...I guess my first instincts were right. It was hard to determine this year what the band would want since they are new and have never recorded yet.....I knew INXS and knew JD would be perfect for them and he was picked....but this year, I was confused as to what the guys were looking for...what kind of music they want to put out...etc.

So the other night I was dreaming about something smelly in my dreams....like farts....and I woke up and my little Mini Sue was sleeping with her butt right in my face! She had eaten chicken earlier and chicken makes her a little gassy....hahaha

That's all folks.....

This n That...

My new washer and dryer was delivered yesterday, and it's great having a new set. My other set was around 20 years old. It was a Maytag so we bought another Maytag set.

So today in a bit I'll be leaving for Caseville for a week. Damn, I'm so sick of all this driving back and forth, but next week I have a dentist appointment so I need to drive back. I wish my hubby would retire and we could just move up there. I am beginning to really hate this place more and more.....I hate my house, I hate all the mess and all the clutter. But I suppose if I moved to Caseville, I would just end up taking it all with me and it would be the same thing but just farther away. I swear I am going to go from room to room and pitch crap out!!

Last night was the finale of BIG BROTHER, my favorite reality TV show in the whole wide world!, and Boogie won.....well, if my puppetmaster, the evil Dr. Will, couldn't win than I wanted his sidekick Mike "Boogie" to win.....besides the fact that Erika was my most least liked person in the house. I had so hoped that Will and Janelle would be the "Final Two"......at least Janelle won $25,000 from the viewer's choice. So that's it til next July when Season 8 will begin!!

Another TV show I am now hooked on and I am only now starting to watch the reruns is "CHARMED"....I guess I missed it when it was on cause it ran on channel WB and I can't get that channel except through the receiver from my DVD player. So now it's on in the mornings and afternoons on TNT and I've been watching it now. I don't know how many seasons it ran but I want to buy all the DVDs for all the seasons. The first episode I caught was when Paige took over from Pru after Pru died. I haven't seen any of the episodes with Pru in them. I think Shannon Doherty played the part. Anyway, it's about witches and white lighters and magic and it's a fascinating show.....I love it!

I have been feeling crappy with headaches cause of this crappy ass weather, but I guess it's suppose to warm up over the weekend so I'm hoping I feel better once I get to Caseville.....I usually do....after a few beers anyway....haha

So will check in later....ciao

Another Funeral.....

My mother-in-law passed away last Wednesday and we had the funeral Saturday. Hopefully, this will be the last funeral I have to go to for awhile!

So anyways, my husband had talked to the doctor on the Friday of Labor Day weekend and the doctor had advised that we keep the respirator in to keep her comfortable and take her off everything except the morphine; and he said that she will probably pass away on her own in a day or two. So we were all there over the weekend and she was still holding her own. By Tuesday I told my husband that I needed to get up to Caseville and get the grass cut cause it had been two weeks since I cut it. He told me to go ahead and go and he'll call me if anything happens. Wednesday I went to the hospital to see my mother-in-law for an hour. They had moved her to a private room and there was no monitor for me to check her vital signs, but the nurse said that it was about the same as the day before. I decided to run up to Caseville for one night, get the grass cut, and drive back Thursday. When I was about 45 minutes from Caseville, my son called me and told me she had passed away......about 2 1/2 hours after I left her. I guess my brother and sister-in-law had been there right after I left but they left before she passed away....so there was nobody with her and I feel really bad about that. So I got the grass cut and drove back Thursday.

Yesterday I drove out to see my oldest son and my grandson. I guess it was Grandparent's Day yesterday, so they took me out to dinner at that Rainforest Cafe in Great Lakes Crossing which is this huge mall of stores. Because it was Sunday the stores were all closed, so I'll have to go back some Saturday and check it out more. I love finding new stores!

Jayden got his first haircut a little while ago. His hair was so long and curly everyone kept mistaking him for a girl...haha. My son said that as soon as the hairdresser snipped one curl he started screaming bloody murder and they literally had to hold him down and hold his head so she could get it cut! I guess he screamed the whole time. They took pictures and they're funny.....poor little guy....haha

Anyway, so with everything else that was going on, my damn washing machine broke down. It is around 20 years old so there is no point on spending money to fix it, so I bought a new set and they are delivering it tomorrow. Then I'm heading back up to Caseville for awhile. This coming weekend in Elkton there is another festival and beer tent....it's called "The Born to be Wild" festival or I like to call it the Harley Festival cause there will be thousands of Harley bikers there. There is also a Polish Festival in Kinde but I think I'll head on out to the beer tent in Elkton instead....haha......I'll post later in Caseville.....ciao

I'm back in town....This past week has been like a nightmare. First all, my mother-in-law is still in the hospital under life support. Her kidneys have failed completely and her body is filling up with fluid. She is in a semi-conscious state. She sometimes moves a hand when you talk to her, but other than that there is no response. She just lays there and breathes throught this ventilator hooked up to lots of wires. There are monitors that we watch for her blood pressure, etc.

Last Sunday I drove home from Caseville...(you're not gonna believe this)...my sister-in-law's mother had a massive stroke and died! She has been at our mother-in-law's bedside for weeks now and then her own mother passes away. So this week has been the funeral....which was actually yesterday. So we come home from the funeral and an hour later the hospital calls and tells us that my mother-in-law's blood pressure has dropped considerably....like 61/16....or thereabouts. So we all rush back up to the hospital yesterday and thought she was going to pass away before the end of the day. Time went on and my brother-in-law ended up taking my sister-in-law home for awhile. She was ready to collapse....she had just buried her mother. Then my husband and I went home and called to check on things. This morning we had heard nothing more, so my husband went back up there. I'm going back in a bit.

My husband had tentatively set up today as the day that she will be taken off the respirator and all life support.....she needs to pass on and not suffer anymore. I'm not sure if my brother-in-law will agree. We all had hoped that she would just pass away on her own and no one has to make that decision.

This has been a very hard time on all of us.

So this weekend is Labor Day and a big beer tent going on in Elkton and I guess I won't be going. My son and my two nephews want to go and I told them to go. If there is a funeral, it won't be until the beginning of next week anyway. So go PARTY!!.....LIFE IF SHORT....
