Still Waiting...and waiting....and.....
Tomorrow is my last day of work for the tax season!!...HIP*HIP*HORRAY! Actually I will miss it for awhile. One thing about working tax season is that it makes the winter fly by faster....or so it seems. Although this winter was a piece of cake. Probably won't see that again for another 7-8 years.
A while back we were all set in the mood to buy a new TV for the family room...which is the main room in the house for TV watching. We still have the tube TV in there, and not even a flat screen..still the type with the rounded screen! I mean, this TV is freakin' OLD***but it still works. We keep waiting for it to die on us and we are so tired of waiting. We have a flat-panel type in the computer room, my bedroom, the cottage, the condo...but our main TV is an ancient dinosaur. So what keeps it still tickin??? It's the most watched TV...has more hours on it. And when we do replace it, what are we going to do with damn thing?? Hate to just throw out a perfectly good TV. It'll probably end up in the garage with the rest of the junk I keep trying to throw out. Maybe the stray cat in the garage can watch it!
Sooooooooo anyway, after looking at TV's we finally decided to get a 47" LG Smart TV with 3D and it was a deal bundle package that included a Blu-Ray and a couple of 3D glasses. But alas, it wasn't meant to be. They were all out of stock in all the stores.....end of season clearance. So we had to wait for the new models to come in.....and we are still waiting.
But I'm afraid that when they do come in, it sure as hell won't be at the same price that we saw it back a month or so ago. And there is no way I'm spending more than that! So we may end up having to keep waiting until they go on sale. So right now we are waiting for Sears to even get them in stock.....then probably have to keep waiting until they go on sale. Maybe by Christmas....
In the meantime we still have our trusty Zenith to watch....
Hey, I could put the Zenith in the living room and replace our trusty RCA CONSOLE TV we have in there!!
Remember what a console TV looks like???? It actually 'sits on the floor' and you can put pictures and candles and vases on top of it! Actually a great place to put a Xmas display. It has character and charm; and it has a GREAT picture.....
